The insurance industry and climate change

On July 2, The Geneva Association has launched a major research report “The insurance industry and climate change – Contribution to the global debate”. In addition, it published the “Kyoto Statement”, signed by over 50 industry CEOs. The report was presented at a media conference at Lloyd’s of London, with the following industry executives participating:

• Michael Butt, Chairman, AXIS Capital
• Kunio Ishihara, Chairman, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire

• Richard Ward, CEO, Lloyd’s of London.
